John Donne Meditation 17 Analysis

So many people are wrapped up in their own lives that they can’t see past the next day to know what they are doing with their lives or what they are going to do. So how is anyone supposed to be connected to another person? It would be easy to find this connection by looking through your everyday life and routine, it’s guaranteed you will find, no matter what you are not alone. You will see how your family will affect you and what they bring to each day. You will see how your friends affect your day, and lastly you will see how outsider, or strangers will affect your day. Your friends are everything to you, especially as a young person they are like the marshmallows in your cereal, making each bite sweet and enjoyable, but filling the least amount of space and there always seems to be increasingly less and less with each bite. Ever since kindergarten early in our childhood we are thrown into this community of people and just expected to make friends and enjoy people, if that isn’t what our parents wanted, then they did something wrong, parents are always involving us in things. Then from kindergarten we move through school level by level making more and more friends. They are the people that you look forward to at school the people that make going to school bearable. Friends make you laugh and smile, they can cause joy and bring adventures into your life, and you could do the same for them. Some would say they don’t have any friends, but everyone has a friend, because the title of friend is not limited to just humans. There are animals like dogs and cats, or mice and rats, that you can call friends, maybe even family. So no matter where you are, what you are with or who you are with, you are not an island alone, lost in the sea, but a small part of a continent connected through your
