My dad had a very important decision to make; either fuse his wrist together with no pain or leave it as is with pain. He decided to keep it as is so he can still be helpful to other people. The first and most important piece of advice he has given me is hard work. He teaches hard work because it is a great thing to learn, as it will get you farther in life. If you work hard people will think of you differently, and see that you will give it your all. The second piece of advice he gave me is confidence. He taught me confidence because you can never accomplish your goals in life if you don’t believe in yourself. In basketball he taught me to have confidence in my shot and good things will happen, because if I don’t have confidence then I will never shoot because I don’t believe I will make it. He also told me to have confidence in football that i can catch the ball or make a tackle. Those are the pieces of advice he gave me and why they help me through life. All in all, the characteristics, his traits, and the advice he has given me are what makes John Davis an everyday hero in my eyes. He has overcome so much in his life and endured it all, this makes him a
