John D Rockefeller was a strong and striving individual that helped shape America into what it is today. Many might believe that Rockefeller just out to enrich himself and only used inhumane business practices. To some, this might be the case, but with the wealth that came from the so called inhumane business practices, came money that was used wisely. Rockefeller’s wealth equaled to nearly 1 billion in that time of history but was generous enough to make multiple donations to multiple organizations over the time of his wellbeing that would one day do good for the world. Despite the cruel business practices, Rockefeller was destined to make the world a better place for people in need and people who didn’t have much. This is because he himself grew up not having much and had primary evidence of how it must be to live poorly. Rockefeller was born and raised by a mother that was highly religious and devoted her time to a Baptist church, which Rockefeller then donated millions of his own money to support Baptist churches in need around the United States. Rockefeller did very much for poor communities and tried to help as much as possible. He donated as much as he could, which hard to believe, most of his earnings were donated to these causes and organizations in need. Rockefeller’s donations were a great help to launch the field of biomedical research in which he was highly intrigued by and he also funded scientific investigations that soon resulted in vaccines for meningitis and yellow fever that came from the Rockefeller institute for medical research which of course came only from the fact that Rockefeller donated his earnings.
