Those people who don’t ask for facts but use their emotion to decide what is true or false. Whether it is Ignatius Donnelly and his obsession with Atlantis or the conspiracy theorists on the internet, Charles Pierce hits the nail on the head when it comes to virtues in the land of the free. This book was not what I expected at all from Mr. Pierce. His level of sarcasm he writes with is amusing but annoying at times. His ability of using sarcasm does set the tone for the book and he uses it to get certain points across. The information Charles Pierce used and noted in his book helped my understanding of politics. The strengths of this book was that Pierce used an abundance of research and dates of events when backing up his points. Some of the weaknesses in this book was in the organization. At times, I got lost while reading because Pierce would switch gears, going from subject to subject without much transition. I would highly recommend this book to people who have a sense of humor in politics. Charles Pierce’s use of sarcasm and knowledge of politics makes this book an interesting and enjoyable
