A study in psychology called Introspection is a study where researchers use themselves as the subjects of study instead of using someone else and then observing them. Watson didn’t want to be a part of
McPherson 2 this since he thought that the natural sciences would be a good field of study for him that involved observational studies. This brought him to his famous research in later years.
Mr. Watson was fond of the human body and wanted to learn more about it and how it reacted to certain scenarios and possible changing a reaction with practice. One called the “Little Albert Study” was an experiment done on a boy to see how his reactions would change if at all. The way this worked was by putting Albert in a room and releasing a rat to be in the room also. However the rat was only released when someone hit a pipe making a loud noise. The purpose of this was for an association to occur between seeing the rat and the loud noise. Well the experiment was a success. After some time of this process repeating, the young boy became terrified of the rat since he believed the noise would soon be following the sight of the rat.( John B. Watson (1878–1958)

Throughout the course of the mid-late 1800’s, cases of both gynocentrism and androcentrism were evident within commonly accepted scientific “fact”. In his analytical paper Women’s Brains, Stephen J. Gould notes the particular biases among multiple leading scientists of the time in relation to the misconceptions about female intelligence. “In the most intelligent races, as among the Parisians, there are a large number of women whose brains are closer in size to those of gorillas than to the most developed male brains” (Women’s Brains. Gould). Such were the ideas at the time of noted craniometrists, specifically Paul Broca and his disciples.…

Many people in the world don 't realize that one of the greatest minds had possible learning disabilities. Albert Einstein at a younger age was labeled as dull, dyslexic, even autistic or schizophrenic. However, he overcame these “labels” and became very famous for his scientific knowledge. When Einstein was 16 years old, he always wondered what it would be like to ride his bike on a beam of light, 10 years later he came up with a special theory of relativity, which lead him to find out that light always travels at the same speed (which is 186,000 miles/second). Albert Einstein’s career, beginning with an extensive education through physical science, had a lasting influence on the photoelectric effect, Special/General Theory of Relativity and the concept of mass-energy equivalence.…
