John Andre was a spy for Great Britain. His hometown was London, England. He was a spy that some found very valuable information that lead the British to the Americans. He also was a captain that helped lead against the american rebels.

John Andre was was born May 2, 1750 and died on October 2, 1780. He joined the British army when he was 21 in 1771. 7 years later in November of 1778 he got promoted to Major. Before the war he was a writer and an artist. He never got married and had no children.

John Andre was in charge of the British Secret Intelligence. John Andre went under the alias of John Anderson. He played a american spy when in reality he was a double agent. Him and a few other spies would go into american and go to their meetings
