John Adams know best for being the second President of the United States. John Adams had a great foreign policy, but a very terrible domestic policy. His domestic policy was called the Alien and Sedition Acts. The Sedition Acts established that no one could talk about Federalists because John Adams was a Federalists and wanted to make certain that no one would talk bad about him. The Alien Acts stated that any foreigners coming into America could be put into prisons if they were seen as a threat. James Madison’s foreign policy was the War of 1812. The War of 1812 was a hard time, America had to fight for their independence again. He felt that they were the protectors of National Rights and that it was his duty to stop the British from impressment and take away National Rights. If some people was in his position they might try to run away from the problem that was happening, but James Madison took credit for the war and felt that it was his duty to protect and take care of the US.
