John Adams Founding Father

John Adams was a Founding Father, the first vice president, and the second president in the United States of America. He helped draft the Declaration of Independents, and he served on the First Continental Congress during the year of 1774. Then on October 30, 1735 John Adams was born in Quincy, Massachusetts. For most of Adam’s life he lived in Massachusetts, but he lived in Europe for about 10 years. At the age of only 16 John Adams was offered a Harvard scholarship where he studied and earned his master’s degree. During the years that Adam’s was in college he was admitted to the bar. John Adam’s stayed in Massachusetts for 41 years and then moved to Europe.

After he arrived back in the United States of America he was on the ballot for the first presidency for the USA, but George Washington took the lead. Since he didn’t win the election he became America’s first vice president. Soon John became frustrated with his job because he was not in as much control as George with political or legal issues. Lucky, 7 years later Adam’s was elected Federalist nominee for president. He became president in 1797, but won by a narrow margin. As John Adams reached the age of 90 he died in July 4, 1826. His last words were “Thomas Jefferson still survives”, but he didn’t know that Thomas Jefferson passed that morning. Everyone should remember John Adams because he was a remarkable president, vice president, and founding father . During his lifetime he helped the United States by help make our Declaration of Independence, became our president, and did even more to help our country. Without the Decleration of Independance we would still be under control by Great Britain. John Adams is basically a portion of our country that should be remembered for
