John Adam Smith Research Paper

John Adam Smith is a Scottish social philosopher and political economist. He was born on June 5th ,1723 in a small village in Kirkcaldy, Scotland. His first name was taken from the Bible, whereas his middle name “ Adam ” means “ from the most of all ” and his last name “ Smith ” means “ A worker ”. John Adam Smith has a father and a mother, where his father’s name is Adam Smith; with the occupation as a lawyer and also as a customs comptroller in Kirkcaldy area, while his mother’s name is Margareth Douglas. His father passed away when he was in age two months. It made him very closer to his mother and always strive to get the scholarship to felicitate his mother. In his childhood, Adam Smith is an undefeatable child. Once upon a time, when he was four years old, he was snatched by a gypsi but later The Gypsi turned him back to his mother. John Adam Smith entered the Burgh School where he studied Latin, Mathematics, History and Writing, and further on at the age of fourteen, John Adam Smith entered the University of Glasgow on scholarship and he studied moral philosophy under the supervision of Francis Hutcheson. He developed some of his passions there such as liberty, reason and free speech.
