How do you decide what information you share about yourself to others? We live in a society where we are forced to speak to individuals daily. In work, school, or out on the streets, we communicate with people we have a relationship with or form new ones. We all have that person in our life that we can be completely open with, just as we have that one person in our life that we might have a more hidden relationship with. Both of these examples are part of Johari’s Window which is made of four panels each representing different personalities we have in our relationship with people. In the following paragraphs, I will explain the four different types of panels using personal examples and why it is important to choose what information you share with people of different relationships.

It is about a food that I absolutely hated when I was a child. When I was about 10 years old, my sister ordered a roll of sushi. I remember clearly being starving that day and decided to take a piece of her roll. The taste in my mouth was unbearable and up until recently, I stayed clear from anything sushi. I never thought I would be where I am today. I decided to give it a second shot when I was on a date with my ex and little did I know that it was going to be one of my favorite foods.
