Johann Sebastian Bach was a brilliant composer. He was born March 31, 1685, in Eisenach, Germany. His pieces of music are some of the most influential and important pieces in the history of music. If you mention the name Bach today most people they will know the name. He has changed the way music is performed and observed. Bach was a german composer and musician from the Baroque period. He made both instrumental and vocal music. Since the 19th-century Bach has been regarded as one of the greatest composers of all time. Some would argue the best composer of all time. He was the son of Johann Ambrosius Bach, and Maria Elisabeth Lammerhirt. He was the eighth and youngest child of Johann Ambrosius, who taught him violin and basic music theory. His uncles were all professional musicians. One uncle, Johann Christoph Bach , introduced him to the organ.
Bach's mother died in 1694, and his father died eight months later. The 10-year-old Bach moved in with his oldest brother, the organist at St. Michael's Church. There he studied, performed, and copied music, including his own brother's. He received valuable teaching from his brother, Also during this time, he was taught Latin, Greek, French, and Italian. By 3 April 1700, Bach was enrolled in St. Michael's. His two years there were critical in exposing Bach to different types of music. In addition to singing in the choir, he played the School's three-manual organ and harpsichords. He accomplished a lot throughout his life and made hundreds of pieces of music. He brought a lot of enjoyment through his work. Now he is known as one of the best composers of all time. He lived to the age of 65 which was really good for the time. He died 28 July
