Joe Smith's Argument For The Distribution Of Child Pornography

Decent Essays
I would proceed in arresting Joe Smith for the distribution of child pornography, and see that he is charged to full extent of the law. This is a big deal for the ex-girlfriend personally and there is also the fact that the pictures were distributed on a High School campus. Now the question is will the parents of the ex-girlfriend use the media the play this out and sue the school? In order to get ahead of the damage, that the media will cause, and a possible law suit. I would advise the High School Board of Trustees to hold a news conference, with the entire School Board and the High School Principle apologizing to the families and to the community, stating that we as representatives of this High School have failed you and your children.

Everyone in the world reacts to situations differently depending on their mood, personality, and attitude. In some occasions someone can tend to over react for something that may not even be that serious while others may have a clean reaction to the same incident. In reality it is imperative to make sure not to underestimate someone’s mood because it may turn out into a bigger incident. For example, in Holiday, Florida an 8th grader, Domanik Green, was arrested for gaining access to his teacher’s computer and changing the desktop wallpaper to two men kissing. This did not come as a surprise to the school due to the fact that Domanik had been suspended the year before for a similar “prank.”…

The Australian criminal justice system often responds to serious crimes with harsh, punitive policies . This is despite growing evidence to support the effectiveness of alternative approaches. This is particularly evident in the controversy surrounding sexual offenders and their treatment (Macgregor 2008). Despite controversy surrounding its effectiveness and punitive benefits, cognitive behavioural therapy in the treatment of sexual offenders has had proven results. Although these results are limited by the approaches grounding in social learning theory (Ward et al. 2006:156).…

The idea of “The Innocence Project” being the most helpful topic to research for a better understanding of the theme of “justice” is widely debated. Before we even get started, what does justice really mean? “Justice is the power as appointed by law, honor, or standards, to support fair treatment and due reward” (yourdictionary.com). With that in mind, The Innocence Project is a very important resource to look into because it concerns the key elements of the meaning of justice. C1. In this case, though no particular motives are given for the anonymous students to be bullying Larry, there are a few possible reasons why they could be doing so. The students perhaps have a grudge against Larry or dislike him and want to insult him for whatever reason by leaving his email and posting false statements and even cartoons about him (though I think insulting someone with the name of a group of people who have a different sexual orientation isn't very clever). Now as for forwarding the email with the link to the site to other friends, perhaps I wanted to hear their opinions on the site and (hopefully not, as it would make me a terrible person) try to get my friends in trouble (on second thought, no real friend would do that!).…
