This novel is an unforgettable adventure from front to back. Personally my favorite part is when Shane meets Jr. and Jr. has a unloaded gun and Shane’s reflexes kick in and he pulls out his gun and then Joe sorts everything out the reason I like this scene so much is because Shane thinks someone would give their like 10 year old kid a gun.…

As a wise man once said “Strength lies in differences, not in similarities”. Scrooge in The Christmas Carol by Charles Dickison, is an old miser that is wealthy who didn’t care about others until three Christmas ghosts visited him and taught him a lesson about caring for others. George Bailey in It’s a Wonderful Life by Frank Capra, is a spirited adult who always lived his life helping others until something tragic happens and he gets visited by an angel. Scrooge and Bailey have similarities that are distinguishable , but they do have different lives, first of all there is a actions difference, different types of relationships , and also what makes them different is the angel and the three ghosts. A gross amount, might be fooled that they are similar, but it is quite the opposite, they have more differences than people might think they do.…

In the book A Christmas Carol, the characters of the story symbolize the many realisms of the British Industrial Revolution henceforth making the story an allegory. For example, Bob Cratchit, Ebenezer Scrooge’s clerk, incarnates the poor. He was a hardworking man being the epitome of the hardworking and uncomplaining working class. Tiny Tim, Bob’s son, symbolized hope. However, Ebenezer Scrooge is the quintessence of all things evil of the Industrial Revolution as he embodied the “ignorance owners and managers of big companies had towards their employees’ well-being” and how those owners adjudicated the poor, instead of assisting them, since they were “big time” and made lots of capital (Johnson).…

All three of these characters are unable to live peacefully within the rigid roles determined for them by the dominant white patriarchal structures…
