One of the main problems with job hunting online is differing/limited job titles. What this means is that if you type in what you think the job is called but it is actually called something different then you may be told that you have ‘No matches’ when in fact you do. When this occurs it can often dampen job hunters spirits and they may decide to stop searching when there are still jobs out there for them and all they have to do is change the words they are typing into the search bar. It can especially be the case in older job hunters in the 50-60 age bracket as they tend to be less confident in their computer literacy already so they become even less confident. Another great piece of advice is to use a resume template because it will ensure that the resume is completed in a suitable/approved format. Ensure the resume is sent how the employers wants it to be sent, e.g. if they want a hard copy to be sent to them or if they want it to be e-mailed to a particular e-mail address then honor that request to show attention to detail and ability to follow
