This study aims to explore job choice making process with a focus on new job seekers, thus college graduates with a degree in hospitality and tourism management (HTM) was selected. College students are an important recruitment pool to companies (Breaugh, 1992) because they have developed their skills related to their future careers through a systematic process and curriculum designed by universities and colleges. Respondents were chosen from a university located in the Southeastern region of the United States, which offers a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management. We contacted faculty members at this institution and they agreed to participate in this study. Questionnaires were distributed to students during class periods. Prior to this, students were informed that their participation was voluntary, and all information collected would remain anonymous and only be used for academic research purposes. Additionally, a cover letter was attached to the survey which explained the research objective and instructions for completing the survey. Because this study attempted to assess fit perceptions that would influence their job choice decisions over a period time, students were asked to fill out their school e-mail address as the identifier at the end of each survey to track their participation. Once we confirmed the participation of respondents at the end of the data collection, the identifier was removed so no one can use the answer to back trace participants’
