Joann’s Fudge
I was peering around at all the sights, smelling all the aromas, hearing all the sounds. Sooooo many gift shops, Fudge stores, restaurants, people, animals. I smelled horses manure, fudge, and yummy delicious looking food from some restaurants. I heard the clippity cloppity sound of the horses hooves banging on the cement. Also the sound of dogs barking, trying to get their chattering owners to throw them the ball that they have been waiting for for what seemed like hours.
Me and my huge family, Mom, Dad, me, Ellee, Casey, and Nora, of six were at Mackinaw City for a fun vacation so we were visiting Mackinac Island.
“Let’s try Joann’s Fudge!” I demanded a little rudely. “Pleeaasse?” I add sweetly.
“Sure.” Mom replied.

We all cheered excitedly. Then they scampered off to look at the guys who were making the fudge. I of course wanted to see the best choices of fudge to eat. When I got to the counter, , I saw the fudge up close. It was as if the fudge was taunting me, saying, “Eat me, you know you want to! Buy us, don’t you love fudge? I’m delicious!” My mouth watered, I was thinking about how the fudge would melt into my mouth. Finally I came back down to earth from space. Then I started debating with myself for what fudge looked the best.
“Mom? Casey asked with hope in his voice. “Can we try the fudge?”
“ Um, well,” Mom trailed off.
The cashier overheard us and spoke up.”They can have samples if you want, we do samples.” she quickly added. They looked up with puppy eyes.
“Okay fine.” She replied smiling.
“Yay!” we all exclaimed happily. We all stared at the array before us thinking what shall be my sample.
Hmm, can I have a sample of the sea salted caramel please?” I ask politely.
“Sure.” She replied. I stared as she cut through the fudge like a butter knife through butter. Iicked my lipps in anticipation on my face. My mouth watered like a wolf eyeing his prey. Just as she gave it to me I thanked her and she replied with a smile. Finally I got what i’ve been waiting for, I took a bite. It was melting in my mouth but it was still chewy. I tasted the chocolate ish caramel. The sweet and saltiness was delicious.
“Mom?” I ask, “ We Need to get salted caramel okay?”
“Sure Sophie.” she
