One of the youngest people in history to command the armies of a nation includes Joan of Arc. In 1456, (10 years after Joan of Arc’s death) King Charles ordered an investigation on her case and resulted in declaring that Joan was actually innocent of all charges she had against her (around 70 charges). Although, after Joan of Arc’s death, she became extremely dangerous to England by engaging the century-long holy war known as the “Hundred Years War” even more and continued on for another 22 years after her death. Interestingly, Joan became largely forgotten about for around 400 years, but eventually resurrected back in the mid-19th century. After becoming familiar again, she became canonized as the Saint of France on May 16, 1920 and had a feast day created in her honor on May 30th. An outstanding leader and the Savior of France truly fits Joan of Arc considering all the positive impacts and outcomes she created.
