James Riddle Hoffa rose up the ranks to eventually become the president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. At 11 a.m., Jimmy left in his ’74 two door Pontiac Grandville from his Oakland County home. He was heading to the Machus Red Fox restaurant to meet someone at 2 p.m. (Smith/Roach). That someone was Jimmy’s longtime friend, Anthony “Tony Jack” Giacalone(Time). By 2:30 p.m., Jimmy called his wife, Josephine, to let her know that the party hadn’t shown up, and he would be home by 4 p.m. He was seen shortly after by two men stating that Hoffa was in a blue sports shirt, dark blue slacks, and sunglasses. They shook his hand and went about their business because it appeared Hoffa was waiting for someone(Smith/Roach). After that interaction, Jimmy Hoffa was never seen again. James P. Hoffa, Jimmy’s son, reported his father missing on July 31, 1975 at 6 p.m. to Lt. Curt Grennier
