He was a member of the Democratic Party, and his vice president was Walter Mondale. One important events in his career is when Camp David accords. Jimmy Carter signed a peace treaty called Camp David Accords, Israel and Egypt have been at peace ever since. Another important event in Jimmy Carter’s career is when the Department of energy was established, Jimmy Carter signed it into the law. That is when the (DOE) came into the U.S.A. Last but not least was the Panama canal treaty. That was a great remembrance of Jimmy Carter. Two important person that influenced this person was President Ford and John F. Kennedy. Jimmy loved Ford and Kennedy wanted to be like them. President Carter's lived in Georgia after he was president. There is a library of President Carter in Atlanta, Georgia. They built it there because he lived there when he was a kid. Some activities Jimmy did when after he was president were going to camps and schools talking to kids and telling them stories.
