Southern Writing Project It was a cool summer's evening in the small town of HanksVille, Alabama. Ma and Pa were sitting on the front porch listening to the crickets chirp. I was in the kitchen making a sandwich, while my little sister Amanda was sitting on the couch watching this show she seems to really like called "Full Metal Alchemist. This confused my fourth grade mind as I always knew Tyson and Maizie worked as a team, and when one came back inside, the other followed.…

Despite the fact he'd been drifting in and out of consciousness for the majority of the day, Armin felt pretty content as soon as he opened his eyes for what seemed to be the umpteenth time. His throat wasn't as dry as it usually was as soon as he woke up from a nap, and he didn't feel as disoriented; he felt safe, warm and secure. Maybe it was to do with how still and quiet everything was; maybe it was because of how comfortable the sheets felt, warm and snug; or maybe it was because of the arms wrapped around his midsection, solid and strong around him, anchoring him. With a small, content smile, Armin shifted until he was facing Eren, careful not to wake him.…
