Jimenez V. Wakefield Case Study

On Wednesday, November 11th, at approximately 0850 hrs, Officer Jimenez (P409) was on patrol driving a marked Midland Police Department vehicle and wearing a standard uniform when he got dispatched to 100 Soccer Lane, City of Midland Soccer Field in reference to an Aggravated Assault. At approximately 0854 Officer Jimenez arrived on scene and made contact with the victim identified as Ernest Wakefield (W/M/DOB 09/23/1954). The victim was standing at the location given to dispatch near the picnic tables.
Mr. Wakefield said he was attacked with a bowie knife by someone he knew. The suspect was identified by Mr. Wakefield as Jace Dorner(W/M/DOB06/15/1992). Officer Jimenez asked Mr. Wakefield if he needed some medical attention to which he refused.
