For Jim Hindmarsh and Co there is a vision which isn't documented and only the higher levels of staff know of this vision. A vision was constructed by research on major agricultural companies and what their perceive to be a company vision, as well as the future aspirations of Jim Hindmarsh the owner of Jim Hindmarsh and Co. The vision statement constructed is ‘To be recognised as a leading stock and station agent that benefits livestock producers in Camden, Nowra and greater regions, providing services with professionalism and integrity’.

Steve Nutt stated that clients account for 90 percent of Jim Hindmarsh and Co.’s business. Without a strong client base Jim Hindmarsh and Co can still operate but not to the full extent, with reduced clients meaning reduction in profitability and the company would not hold such a high standard without the clients which would have an impact on the vision statement.
Relationships with buyers
Steve Nutt stated that buyers account for the remain ten percent of business, maintaining a strong relationship with buyers can affect the sale outcomes. With strong relationships many buyers are loyal to Jim Hindmarsh and Co. and will travel to all the livestock auctions they hold to make purchases. As the buyer numbers increases the purchasing price can also increase on quality stock creating a relationship with vendors who buyers will continue to purchase from in order to get the quality of stock they require for the buyers businesses.

The PIC is used to identify which property the livestock have come off or where they will be going. Having a close relationship means that a LLS employee works out of the Camden office on sale days allowing new bidders to register on the spot instead of waiting the expected week before information will be received via application forms, before registering as a bidder.
