These men used interpretation by smearing black cork on their faces, danced, and sang songs like an African American. All of these men became famous, and were invited to tour cities. However, one performer that became the most famous was Daddy Rice. Rosa had left work and approached the bus downtown Montgomery on Court Square. On the bus Rosa seated in the section that Negros would sit. The driver realized that the front of the bus was getting cramped tight together with white passengers. There were two or three men standing up instead of sitting down in a seat.
