Born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, John F Kennedy was a leader in a lot of ways. From being a leader in the Civil Rights movement to having a vision for the future, he will be remembered in many ways. With his life ending at 46 years old, he made a long-lasting impact on both the country and the world. Not only was he the 35th president, but he was a fighter who got his way most of the time. Even though he used his intelligence, sometimes bullying was needed. Kennedy was the type of president to challenge the advice and assumptions of experts; but, can you name a president that didn’t? For example, during the Berlin crisis, two defense analysts made the case for waging “rational nuclear war” against the Soviets and told Kennedy he could win with only limited casualties.
