“You look like Glenn. You have the same hair, eye color, and your nose is the same shape. Glenn didn’t look like mother, Tiberius, or me. Glenn said you looked so much like him you had to be his blood. He would have been glad to meet you.”
“How would he have known?” Glenn died seven years before Laurel awoke from her sleeper crystal.
Jewel gave a cheerless grin. “How do you think Tiberius knew where to find your sleeper crystal? Glenn had found both your crystal and Alexander’s over twenty years ago and told the Lettorians. He knew where to find the Water of our Council too, but… I guess I shouldn’t say too much more about that. We don’t want Yester to get to our sister first.”
Laurel sighed. Yes. If you gave a secret to Laurel you may as well tell the enemy. Of course this was also true of Ti and Velvyn, so she wasn’t offended. All three heard their opposites on the Dark Council in their head. Fortunately, Xander and Jewel’s minds were not touched by their opposites. They could keep the Light Council’s secrets.
