Across Five Aprils “Ohana means family, family means nobody gets left behind.” -Lilo and Stitch. Jethro is the youngest in family living on their farm during the Civil War, and most of Jethro’s older brothers go off to the war and he is left with a lot of responsibilities, but one of his cousins Eb deserts the union army and comes back home since he left with nowhere else to go.
Everyone agrees that Jethro did help Eb, while some think it was illegal and dangerous. Jethro should have helped Eb for three main reasons, importantly, he was family, sadly, Eb was confused, and dangerously, Eb could be arrested.
