Jesus has been called an imposter [simply a good man], and others believe Him to be the Messiah; so, is Jesus the son of Joseph or the Divine Son of God.
The fact that Jesus lived needs no proof, but if He was the son of Joseph, then He was simply a man; nonetheless, if only a man, why has there not been through all the years another man His equal? Fact is, if He is not Deity, He is unexplainable.
If He was just a man, the claims He made were not true and that would make Him a liar; not a good man. He claimed to be the “Begotten Son of God,” which means that He was not made or created. To make is to produce an object from existing material; to create suggest the same, but elevates the act to an art. While these objects may bear the mark of the maker, they do not share his nature. But, to begat is different. Every child begotten inherits its nature from the parents; genes, personality, etc.
Therefore, since Jesus is declared to be the Only Begotten Son of God, He has the same nature as God, His Father, and no other like Him, for He is the only.
