Jesus Rhetorical Analysis

A verse from Matthew that I truly love is this, “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” This is in answer to the ‘Righteous’ that ask when did they see Jesus struggling in need of help. We should see everyone, since they are made in the image and likeness of God, as the face of Jesus, and help them as such. This all means that when you hold the door for someone who has their hands full, you just held the door for Jesus. When you help your friend think some things through that they had weighing on them for a while, you were Jesus’ therapist.
The church gathers most all of the nice things we can do for other people and writes them down in a list very simply. Big help if you can’t think of anything, the church has you covered. I’m talking about the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. Spiritual for the spirit and Corporal for the body, it’s pretty straightforward. A priest I used to know would always thank God for the crosses that were given to him. You should thank God for the ability to transfer the love and mercy which our Lord has given to us onto others. If a spot opens up on a mission trip and Heidi makes you go, you should have joy that you get to spend a week of your summer out in the heat helping people. When your friend comes to you with a lot on their heart, you should rejoice and be there with them however they need. If you are required to do some service hours for school or something after school, you should thank God for the opportunity to volunteer for others that could really use those corporal works of mercy. Thank God for these works of mercy he has given us, familiarize yourself with them and go do good
