The church gathers most all of the nice things we can do for other people and writes them down in a list very simply. Big help if you can’t think of anything, the church has you covered. I’m talking about the Spiritual and Corporal Works of Mercy. Spiritual for the spirit and Corporal for the body, it’s pretty straightforward. A priest I used to know would always thank God for the crosses that were given to him. You should thank God for the ability to transfer the love and mercy which our Lord has given to us onto others. If a spot opens up on a mission trip and Heidi makes you go, you should have joy that you get to spend a week of your summer out in the heat helping people. When your friend comes to you with a lot on their heart, you should rejoice and be there with them however they need. If you are required to do some service hours for school or something after school, you should thank God for the opportunity to volunteer for others that could really use those corporal works of mercy.
