Jesus In Middle School Research Paper

Jesus came into my life at a young age and I am blessed to have been raised in the church. Growing up, I valued displaying the characteristics of Christ through my actions because I was extremely shy, but I had influence with people I was connected with. My mission field has been my volleyball team and classmates throughout grade school. Not only did I love in a big way, but I modeled Christ's love through my actions. The leadership roles that I have held, empowered me to influence the lives of others by discipline them through friendships. God revealed to me that my call is to be a transformer of people. He simply wants me to be a model to the people around me, even if I am unaware that they are watching. God has put a passion on my heart …show more content…
Middle school students have more freedom to make decisions for themselves and are easily influenced by others. This age is critical in determining the type of person they will develop into from high school and beyond. We need teachers that are filled with the spirit of God, going into middle school classrooms nation-wide and world-wide. These students need Jesus. Many come from broken homes, hopeless situations and darkness, and we as Christians, are responsible for going to all the world to make disciples and the avenue of education is an important opportunity Christians need to take advantage of. I am a firm believer that the two most influential people in a student’s life are their parents and their teachers. I cannot control the lifestyle their parents are choosing, but I can control myself, my decisions, my words and my actions. I am passionate about showing the character of Christ and His unconditional love and grace towards every person. I am passionate about creating a safe atmosphere that students feel comfortable and have a sense of belonging. I am passionate about math, even though it is the most hated subject in …show more content…

Jealousy comes when one's focus is taken off God and put upon the world. Hebrews 13:4 states “but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” God's Word also states in I Corinthians 3:17 “if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.” The purity of mankind should be maintained, therefore the jealous husband was to bring her before the priest who would carry out all the law. Devils love the destruction of relations between a man and his wife.…

What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

I could not fathom why God would want me to serve his church and his people when there were obviously more qualified people he could choose. This was definitely a stumbling block for me early in my ministry. I doubted my abilities and calling and therefore, didn’t totally surrender my life or calling to God. Thankfully, we have a God that, in spite of my weaknesses, used me to further his kingdom and reach people that don’t yet know Him. Those experiences and interactions helped to confirm my calling in full-time…

The conflict between the Christians and the Jesus Seminar has been an ongoing struggle since 1985. The Jesus Seminar, founded by Robert Funk, originated in 1985 as around 70 biblical scholars set out to determine the legitimacy of Jesus’ sayings (Dart). The Seminar focused on the historicity of Jesus using the best methods of science and literary criticism as it pertains to the Bible. Funk believed that the gospel writers had made Jesus into a “larger than life” figure in order to satisfy their religious desires. The Jesus Seminar’s goal is to rid the historical figure of Jesus from “Christian legend and myth” and to find out who Jesus really was and what he really said (Craig).…

There is plenty of evidence in the Bible of Jesus' nature as both fully human and fully divine. As mentioned in the previous paragraph, Jesus is confirmed to be human because of his display of human emotions, his human birth and death and also his human needs and form. Jesus is confirmed to be divine because of his title of Lord and the fact that he is the son of God. His conception within the Virgin Mary also confirmed his divinity. The Nicene Creed also mentions Jesus as the son of God and as Lord, confirming his divinity.…

I got involved with a small group with two other guys, one guy being a friend and the other being a campus staff guy. Through that small group we decided that our biggest need at the moment was being trained to read God word and able to share our faith with other people. I attended a 10 week long summer project in Tampa, Florida where I learned to share my faith for the first time and was able to led 5 people to Christ. It was a joy and a passion that begin to grow in my life. I developed a heart to take the gospel back to my campus where I wanted other people to hear the same thing that I had heard, knowing they could be in the same position I was at in college.…

The reason that each of the four gospels spends such little time discussing the early years of Jesus is due to the fact that the key major events of his life took place in his final years on earth. While the bible has stories of Jesus in cases such as his birth and when he taught the wise men in the temple, his true ministry comes forward in his later years. Due to this fact, the different writers of the gospel focused on these moments more simply so that the true lessons of Jesus would stand out…

After graduating from church school and receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation, I decided to volunteer as a teacher’s assistant at my church school to help the older generation teach the youth about the Catholic faith. This volunteer experience helps me realized that my purpose in the Catholic Church was to help the people in my community, to give them positive influence allowing me to gain personal growth and reach my potential of a selfless person learning to take the role as a leader. That realization that I could bring great knowledge to the people was the beginning of my awakening. This journey started my junior year when I became a volunteer at my church as a teacher’s assistant and I was assigned to help assist a teacher in a class…

In this essay, I will be talking about what I believe to be true from what Jesus tells us in the Bible, about being the Son of God and how He was here to die on the cross for our sins, showing everyone who He was and who ever believe in Him is save, or healed if they were sick. In this paper, I will be talking about the trustworthiness and historicity of the Gospels. The historical reliability of the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles, and did Jesus claim to be God. Did his disciples believe he was God? The accuracy of the resurrection accounts in the Gospels, that is, did Jesus rise bodily from the dead?…

As a minister, I feel it is my job to communicate, in word and deed, the unchanging Gospel to the modern generation in ways that help people to understand Christ clearly. Early on in my Christian walk it was apparent to not only me, but also to those in leadership roles within the church – elders, ministers, etc. – that there was a call upon my life to enter the ministry. I was quickly taken under the guidance of the lead Preacher in my local…

I believe that Jesus is the Messiah. The definition of savior according to the dictionary is a person who saves someone or something from danger, and who is regarded with the veneration of a religious figure. According to Luke Timothy Johnson, Jesus is the Messiah who the New Testament declares is the Son of God who came to this earth to suffer willingly and die for our sins. I am going to compare the description above with some other ideas about who many theologians think Jesus is.…
