Honestly, Hell scares me, but I do not think that I am the only one that is scared of it. In the bible hell is talked about negatively because it really is not a pleasant place or supposed to be perceived as one. On the flip side of that, God’s blessings are unbelievably incredible. The only problem is if we only follow Him so good things happen to us, we are still being selfish. God is loving, and blesses us, and cares about us, and most of all, He never wants to see us getting hurt because of the tragedies of this fallen world. Except as we learned in Deuteronomy, with love comes discipline. Sometimes He has to curse us to let us learn, and sometimes through the curses He is able to show us who He truly is. I do not think that that is the reason we should follow God though. Everyone who is a believer goes through difficult times, just the same as nonbelievers. The only difference in the outcome of our situations is, as believers, we have a hope to hold on to. Unbelievers are not so reliant on what God will do, but what they can do themselves to help their situations. Everyone at some point in their lives feels alone, and secluded from the people we love the most. As believers, we have someone to pray to, and find strength in. Nonbelievers struggle more with not having a loving God to comfort them so they try to find love from this world. In some ways we all can find God in times of our lives like that. When I was weakest, I found Gods strength instead of turning to find something to fulfill the emptiness. The world gives us joy, but it does not last for long. God gives us an everlasting joy when we find ourselves in Him, and not just in his blessings. The greatest joy is loving a God who loves you, not just loving a God to bless

However, it is also important to realize that some people are not able to help themselves, their trials and tribulations are so great that they need help to find a way out of their dark times. It is not our place to judge people, in the New International Version of the Holy Bible, the Book of John, chapter 13, verse 34 states, “ A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.” God’s command is to love one another, not judge. Additionally, God does help people who are unable to help themselves by working through us, in other word, God works through people to help other…

Jealousy comes when one's focus is taken off God and put upon the world. Hebrews 13:4 states “but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.” God's Word also states in I Corinthians 3:17 “if any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy.” The purity of mankind should be maintained, therefore the jealous husband was to bring her before the priest who would carry out all the law. What my husband's advancement to Chief Petty Officer means to me? The answer of that question could be 10 pages long or I could just resume what I feel in one word, "extremely proud", well I guess two words. I met Christian 16 years ago, he was full of energy, funny, and he had the ability to turn any sad or bad situation into a joke making everybody laugh; that is what make me fell in love with him. On the other hand, he was a little immature, unfocused when it comes to work, and nothing seemed to fulfill his expectations. I always knew that his passion was a career in the military, but that was out of question in my book!…

Throughout the book, “Restoring All Things” by Warren Cole Smith, and John Stonestreet address many relevant cultural topics in America, and how Christians are striving to not only preach the good news of the Lord, but also live out their faith. As the title suggests, restoration a common theme found throughout every chapter of the book. Smith and Stonestreet communicate stories of individuals that have become active members in their communities to help renew and restore what has been previously broken and dysfunctional. “Restoring All Things” is a book that exhibits Matthew 25:35-46, where Jesus is talking to his disciples, using a series of parables expressing how His followers are to live. Throughout these passages, Jesus informs His disciples that, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me” (Matthew, 25:40).…

In this paper, I will be talking about the trustworthiness and historicity of the Gospels. The historical reliability of the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ miracles, and did Jesus claim to be God. Did his disciples believe he was God? The accuracy of the resurrection accounts in the Gospels, that is, did Jesus rise bodily from the dead?…

There are many types of religions in the world, all in which different cultures believe in. It is one thing to be raised and taught to believe in a “God” but it is an other thing when that “God” is proven real. Many people believe in a “higher power” but do not want to classify that “higher power” so that it does not change their lifestyle or their behaviour. Humans like to be comfortable in their own skin, with their own beliefs, therefore, they will try and convince themselves in what they believe is real for their own comfort. In that case, couldn 't that be very scary if they are wrong?…
