1. Idea: A girl who has an interest in the supernatural accidentally summons a warlock from another dimension.
2. Theme: Adventure often comes in the most unlikely forms, as well as there is more than one face a person shows the world.
3. Plot: Rayla, an honors student, with a penchant for the supernatural is brought into suspicion by her mother who hears her chanting spells into her room. As a deeply religious person, her mother sends her to Jesus camp in hopes that it would break her away from her interest. This plan, however, backfires as Rayla, while in the camp, comes into company with senior goths who love classical music. He appeared as a product of a spell, as well as his desire to locate the spell book which was lost to him. His animal form is a black fish, one that Rayla views as useless as there are few bodies of water in Arizona.
• Dahlia Mewberry: Jesus camp senior who has a penchant for classical music and is a performer herself. She is one of the few friends Rayla makes during her stay at the camp. Dahlia is characterized to be a very independent individual who has no problem questioning authority.
• Zacaria Jones: A homosexual in gay camp, he is one of Dahlia’s closets friends and is regarded to have been “cured” by the nuns, though this a well-known lie. He is a very flamboyant individual who sports different colored hair every month.
9. Syntax/ Diction: The story will have a rather informal tone as it is told from the point of view of a teenager. However, there will also be the incorporation of lush diction to describe the scenery, characters, and mood.
10. Background: Growing into puberty and watching the TV show Supernatural, Rayla has taken interest into all things that are ethereal. This attraction, however, proves to be against her as her religious mother views her as going dark. She is then sent to Jesus camp to be renewed.
