Finally N.T. Wright ends his book with what can easily be deemed the most spectacular chapter (ch. 8) in this already well-rounded book. The first issue addressed in this chapter is the relationship between Jesus and Paul. In an elegant manner, N.T. Wright uses the metaphor of Jesus being a composer, while Paul is a conductor. Christ wrote the music, while Paul merely applied the music. Paul’s purpose has been to play the original music created by Jesus, not write his own. In this way, they both worked towards the same goal, in different manners. N.T.
