The message of this passage illuminates the concept that Jesus will always be present in the world. Jesus displayed that through the abundance of fish the disciples caught that he still cared for them and looked after them. This act of catching the fit for the disciples showed them that the Lord was always going to be present in their lives. In the passage, this is when the disciples noticed that it was Jesus , “So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he tucked in his garment, for he was lightly clad, and jumped into the sea. (John 21:7). In this verse, it reveals how the disciples recognized that there were acts by the Lord, that Jesus looked after them and helped them in times of need. This passage highlights the importance of faith in the Lord and how he will always be there for us.
This passage elucidates Jesus’ teaching on morality and ethics by the way he reiterates that even if he is not physically present, he will always help us. This passage displays Jesus’ ongoing love for us, and how we must never lose faith or hope in the Lord. In the passage, Jesus displays how he helps the disciples with the fish by saying, ““Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something.” So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish.
