Jessi's Exams: A Narrative Fiction

The alarms had been going off on November 15th at 10:58. Jessi had been working on her files that she had not finished.
“What I am I going to do with all of these papers” pleaded Jessi.
Jessi was an average 24 year old girl who lived with her 21 year old sister Kim in an apartment. They both were in to the same kind of business. The good thing was they were just a building away from each other. Being close to each other was a thing they liked best, until last night.
Everyone had been running down all the stairs to get to safety. Many people were pushing and shoving people around. They were all in a rush to get to a destination that they didn’t really have figured out yet. People just had an instinct to leave as fast as they could.

“I just want to make sure that you are always safe! “Replied Jessi.
“Well you’re not my mom so leave me alone.” Said Kim angrily.
The girls had fought and fought, until they got to work. As soon as Jessi walked onto the office you could see the hurt in her eyes. She had been wondering if she had been too hard on her sister, or if she had been acting like to much of a mother to her. All she had ever wanted to be is a good sister and a good role model for her, but she felt like she had failed Kim.
As Jessi was doing her work she had felt the ground starting to shake. Jessi had thought it was nothing to be worried about. The next few minutes there was nothing but a bad feeling in Jessi’s stomach. Out of the blue the ground started shaking, but it was not like the first time. Now the ground is shaking very aggressively.
“Everyone duck for cover!” Shouted one of Jessi’s co-workers.
Everything had been going on so fast that Jessi couldn’t think straight. The world had felt as if everything had been turning all around her. Then it hit her; her sister was in the other
