Jessica Valenti is a prominent feminist, she’s written four books on the matter and currently writes for The Guardian about Women’s Issues. I looked into her pieces and found a big problem with what she was talking about. One article was her complaining about catcalling, where she tells women to walk the streets without fear, which is certainly a good thing. But another article a year later, by the same journalist, says that she misses it and wishes society would give more attention to women.

They only deserve what they pull in for FIFA through things like ad revenue. Over 715 million people, one ninth of the world population, saw the mens finals, while only 43 million saw the womens. So it was completely justified for the prize to accord to this.
According to abcnews top female model made 42 million, the top male model only 1.5 million. And do these men complain? Do they call out female oppression, demanding to be paid 25x more despite being such a small industry? Of course not.
These men don’t complain like feminists do, blaming the matriarchy for their struggles. They recognise that the female industry is much larger, and don’t take the earnings gap as discrimination, but factor in the simple economics involved. If something proves to be more lucrative, the company will put more money into it. Discrimination, again, is not the issue here.
You always hear feminists, among many things, complaining about these petty things such as manspreading, the fore mentioned wage gap and gender shaming. But to be honest, out of all feminist arguments, objectification and domestic violence are the only ones people should take seriously. But the rest of them simply do not stand
