Jerry's Father Book Report

The parents aren't really around in the book, his mom is dead and his dad is around but he doesn't really talk to him about anything. In the book jerry wants to talk to his dad but he doesn't think his dad will really care about what he has to say.
To be a good parent in my mind is that you always need to be there for your kids at times of need and to listen to them if they need help, jerry's father didn't really do any of these things. Your father should like to have fun with there kid and and do stuff with them, but jerry's dad is boring and doesn't like to do a whole lot.
I would not blame jerry's dad for what happened to jerry, because even if he did tell his dad about what happened his dad wouldn't have been able to do anything about.
