Being humble, working hard, and being kind are traits we all want to possess. Those we look up to have gone through a series of events to mold them into the people they are today. For example, a well respected sSoccer player for Bournemouth named Jermain Defoe has gained respect after being a great player on and off the fieldthe field and a great person off. Defoe had played for a Sunday league team known as Senrab F.C. and eventually worked his way up to gaining a transfer to some top tier teams. While on Sunderland F.C. he struck a massive friendship with a young boy named Bradley Lowery, who was in a fight with cancer. Their friendship came to a new level as their bonds started to tighten and the two would see each other almost daily, Bradley would even walk …show more content…
Unfortunately, Bradley has recently passed and hundreds of thousands mourn and send prayers to his family. This easily shows how one kind and humble human being can work their way to their dreams and even affect the life of another. I have always kept myself humble and kind to everyone, as well as trying my hardest for everything, which are three characteristics I want to pass on to others. I was especially humble when I had the honor of making the Colts Neck soccer team. With this privilege I made sure I would not disappoint myself or the team. I questioned my role on the team and quickly gained confidence to do my best and worked hard to the point where I secured a starting position as well as being a team captain. By the end of the season, I even managed to be selected along with a few freshmen to play the last two games on varsity. which we ended up
