Jeremy Rifkin argues through intensive research that animals and humans have their differences, however they are very similar to the human species than we have ever imagined.. For an example, animals can experience pain, suffering, joy and excitement. His statement is entirely true. Biologically, since humans are considered as mammals, other creatures specified as a “mammal” have the same organs and wiring systems within their brain. Meaning, there is a high chance that animals do indeed have feelings. It is scientifically proven that humans do share 99% of DNA with rats. Hence, one of the reasons why rats are apart of animal experimentation. Surprisingly enough, 90% of veterinary medicines can be used for humans as well.
