Jeremiah lived in judah in about 600BC. People in Judah were sinning a lot they weren’t following laws the right way, people there broke the first commandment by worshiping other strange Gods. Jeremiah’s message to them was “ You shall not follow strange Gods, you should treat others with kindness.” People did not like what he had to say so he was beaten, and put in jail by the people of Judah. Jeremiah said he would have destroyed the Temple if they didn’t repent.
Pope Francis is the modern day prophet I chose, he is 80 years old, and his birthday is December 17, 1936. Jeremiah and Pope Francis are alike because they both tried to help people who were in need. Pope Francis comforts people who are sick or in need, and Jeremiah helped
