There are numerous cases of sexual assaults that the victims are blamed for of prosecuting the criminal. Suggesting or directly insinuating that the victim ought not to dress a certain way or act a certain way. The fear of being crucified prevents some victims from speaking or reaching out for the help they need. Some simply commit suicide or live in misery. These are extreme cases, but very valid examples. On the other hand, we have some that are so subtle that we don’t even realize the rate of jeopardy slut shaming is causing in our society.
