“This I Believe” by Jennifer talks about how people should treat others the way they would want to be treated. This is very important in life. You should never treat someone worse than you would expect them to treat you. Jennifer talks about how a smile, or courteous gesture could brighten up someone’s day. I also believe this. Helping someone pick up what they dropped, could make a world of difference. She talks about when she was in the 6th grade, her friends shared her secrets and then she had no friends. Although most teenagers are care free, there are some that will read this, and start watching what they say. If I realized going into high school that you always want to be nice to people, I would have more friends. I have hurt multiple people because that’s how I was always done. People would hurt my feelings for no reason. I later realized that when I did other people that way, it hurt them deeply. Always be kind to someone because you do not know the battles they are going through. One kind word can turn someone who is suicidal, to not want to kill themselves. It doesn’t take much out of you, to just be nice to someone.
Everyone should have a good relationship with their parents, or a guardian. Without this relationship, you would not have anyone to give you good advice or unconditional love. You need someone in your life that would help you with whatever you need. Without someone in your life like this, you will be one of those people who hurt other
