Strike Three! At ninety-eight miles per hour, Jennie Finch pitches all strikes for every game. But that is what you may have seen if you had been lucky enough to witness one of the games that Finch was the pitcher in: She stunned the softball world with her amazing performance. At age five Jennie Finch started playing softball, and became a pitcher at eight years old(Team). She played for the Arizona Wildcats, and the Chicago Bandits, and she has won two Olympic medals and seven world championships with the U.S. She was titled a Three-time World Cup Champion, and NPF Co-Pitcher of the year. Why did she decide to become a pitcher? What made her want to play softball? This essay will explain why she became a famous softball player. I learned that by her starting at five years old, she had time to progress as a player and a pitcher. My burning question changed as I read because I found out that she made it to the Olympics. My question was how did Jennie Finch make it to the OLympics, but my new question is At first I knew nothing about her until I searched for information on who she is and what did she do, but Mrs. Finch retired in 2010. I would like to learn how almost every one of her pitches are strikes and why did she decide to play for the Arizona Wildcats and the Chicago Bandits.
Although finding some facts about Jennie Finch was difficult, I managed to find enough to write a whole essay on her. She had a huge career as a softball player, and after she retired, she had two sons, Ace and Diesel, and a daughter, Paisley. Today, Finch is part of the Diamond Nation, a softball academy located in the Northern part of New Jersey. She takes pride in what she does by teaching young girls softball and how to be a good role
