I recall a memory of me having a brief discussion with a Jehovah’s Witness about the Lord’s church. When I mentioned the church of Christ, he asked me, “which church is that? I have never heard of it.” This man, like a lot of people both inside and outside of the church, did not have any idea about what it is. So, we would like to talk about some important aspects of the church that help us understand the body to which we belong. First, it is divine. The church is not man-made or physical. Jesus is the one who started it, and He is the one who guides and controls it through God’s Word today (Eph. 1:22-23). Second, it is planned.
