Jeff’s Pizza must maintain attractiveness from customers by staying above the uprising competition in Ames. Two new pizza restaurants have opened up right next to Jeff’s Pizza on the same street within the last year. These new pizza restaurants, as well as other pizza restaurants in Ames, have become significant threats to Jeff’s Pizza. Although there are many aggressive competitors in Ames, the main competitor that Group 16 wants to focus on is Blaze Pizza. This is because of location. Blaze Pizza is located right next to Jeff’s Pizza on Lincoln Way directly across the street from campus. Since the opening of Blaze Pizza in April 2017, Jeff’s Pizza has lost a large amount of market share.
This document identifies internal and external issues of Jeff’s Pizza, and explores various recommendations to stay above the competition. Group 16 has analyzed valuable primary and secondary market research to organize a plan for Jeff’s Pizza. This recommendation report discusses qualitative and quantitative research, findings, and recommendations for maintaining attractiveness from the Ames community.

Our sample size in total was 54 participates. We then interviewed 15 customers of both Blaze Pizza and Jeff’s Pizza. 8 of them were male, and 7 of them were female. From our survey and interviews, Group 16 found that Blaze Pizza is the more favorable pizza restaurant. In summary, we found that our participates value the trendy atmosphere, friendly customer service, and quality of the pizza at Blaze. In contrast, our participates believe Jeff’s Pizza is a bit overrated, overpriced, and hectic.
