Dahmer was just 18 years old and newly graduated from high school when he committed his first murder (“Jeffrey Dahmer”). In June 1978, Dahmer picked up a hitchhiker, Steven Hicks. Dahmer took Hicks to his parent’s home. At the home, Dahmer got Hicks drunk. Later in the night, Hicks decided that he wanted to leave the house. Dahmer, not wanting Hicks to leave, hit Hicks in the back of the head with a barbell, killing him. Dahmer dismembered the corpse, packed the body parts into plastic bags, and buried the bags in the woods behind his parent’s house (Biography.com Editors). Dahmer realized that his experiment was unsuccessful. He had hoped to make a sexual slave so he would not have to keep killing and raping men. Dahmer decided to drug Lindsey once again.
