Aileen “Lee” Wuornos who had a terrible childhood. Her mother left her and her brother with their grandparents. Childhood friends said that Aileen grandfather beat her and her grandmother was an alcoholic. Her dad was a rapist and killed himself a few weeks after her birth. Jim was a very good student. He learned to become very manipulative at a young age persuading his friends to do favors for him. As a teenager he went against the normal teenage activities like drinking,sports and others. Time went on and he became a cult leader, where he brainwashed more than 900 people to make them think he was the solution to everything. He was the leader of the Peoples Temple. He put his sermons on the radio to build his movement. He was very abusive, he beaten and rapped his followers. Then after a camera crew came to the compound they were at, he then put cyanide in kool aid, forcing his followers to drink it causing a mass suicide. This is where the saying “don't drink the kool-aid” came from. If they refuse to drink the kool aid, they were shot. He was not mentally ill but just followed in his Father’s footsteps.
