Jeffrey Dahmer: Anonymous Serial Killer

Jeffrey Dahmer, the infamous serial killer, was born on May 21, 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, although he grew up in Ohio. His childhood was not anything too out of the ordinary, except for a few incidents; one of which was him being molested at the age of eight. Dahmer grew up in a house with his father, mother and his brother, Lionel Dahmer, Joyce Dahmer and David Dahmer, listed accordingly. When he turned ten, Dahmer was supposedly experimenting with dead animals, although his parents just took it as something that boys do. If they had noticed something was wrong at this time in his life and had gotten him the help that he needed, he might not have committed all of those murders. When high school came around, all Jeffrey Dahmer tried to do was fit in; this was the start of his drinking problem. In early 1978, Dahmer’s parents divorced and he took it hard. Now that he was 18, and out of high school, he was seen as an adult and felt o longer important now that his parents were fighting over custody of his little brother David. Joyce, Jeffrey’s mother, got full custody of David and moved to Wisconsin. Jeffery Dahmer killed a total of seventeen people in the span in thirteen years. Shortly after, he changed his plea to guilty although stating that he was insane. The defense provided evidence against his plea and he was found guilty and sane. Dahmer was sentenced to serve fifteen consecutive life sentences for the murder of fifteen men. At first, Dahmer was placed in isolation with fear that if he came in to contact with other inmates, there might me a situation. After a year of isolation, they allowed him to interact with other people in the facility and all was going well for about a year. In late 1994, Dahmer was beat to death by another
