Notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on May 21, 1960. At the age of 6, he underwent a minor surgery to correct a double hernia which seemed to effect a change in the boy. Following Dahmer's surgery, he increasingly lacked self confidence. Around that time, the boy's insecurities deepened when he moved to Ohio. By his early teens, he was disengaged, tense and largely friendless.
Dahmer claims that his attraction toward necrophilia and murder began at the age of 14. It appears that the breakdown of his parents' marriage, their divorce and the psychological stresses may have been the reason for turning these earlier thoughts into actions. In September 1987, Dahmer took his second victim, Steven Toumi, whom he met in a gay bar. His remains were never found.
Dahmer's killings lasted for more than 13 years. During that time he sought out mostly African American men at gay bars, luring them home with the bribe of money or sex and gave them alcohol mixed with drugs before strangling them to death. He would then have sex acts with the corpses before dismembering them and disposing them. He also often kept his victim's genitals or skulls as souvenirs. He frequently took photos of his victims during the murder process just so he could relive the experience.
Around the same time, He encountered with a 13-year-old Laotian boy that resulted in charges of sexual exploitation and second-degree sexual assault for Dahmer. He pleaded guilty and claimed that the boy had appeared much older. While awaiting sentencing for his sexual assault case, Dahmer moved back in with his grandmother. In March 1989, he lured, drugged, strangled, sodomized, photographed, dismembered and disposed the body of Anthony Sears, a young African American man and aspiring

Baumeister had a fairly normal childhood as the oldest child of four raised by his mother Elizabeth, and his father Dr. Baumeister, a very successful anesthesiologist. Despite having the privilege of growing up in a somewhat wealthy home and facing no abuse or neglect, Herbert struggled with many different social defects and frequently showed no sign of having a sense of right or wrong. Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer, more infamously known as the “Milwaukee Cannibal”, is considered one of the America’s most notorious lust serial killers. Dahmer spent over a decade terrorizing the city of Milwaukee with his horrendous killings. Because of the torturous manner in which he committed his murders, Dahmer landed himself a spot at the highest level on Dr. Michael Stone’s Gradations of Evil Scale ("On The Scale of Evil, Where do Murderers Rate?", n.d.). He not only murdered 17 men, but also engaged in necrophilia, cannibalism, and zombieism after drugging, molesting, and strangling the men to death (“Jeffrey Dahmer Biography”, n.d.). Though the crux of his killings occurred during the 1980s, Dahmer claims that his urges to kill and fantasies…

I believe that somewhere in there the learning theory also applies. Even though Dahmer’s father seemed to be busy going to school and eventually becoming a chemist, when Dahmer asked him about bones and how they worked, he was more than ecstatic to show him how they worked. Dahmer’s father was the one that showed him how to scrape the skin off of dead animals using chemicals. Granted his father does these thing in relation to science, but none the less how to perform these acts were learned from him. Dahmer took a behavior that should have been conforming and turned it into deviant behavior.…
