Victimization is where somebody feels they’ve received unfair treatment due to making a complaint or been associated with somebody who has made a complaint (Bergen, 2002, pg. 244). A good example of that is when Susan Finn repeatedly files complaints to Jeff McKeleher, the vice president for Human Resources who brushes the complaints off and falsely reassures Susan that Dr.Khalsa actions will be investigated (HRM Literature). As vice president of Human Resources, Jeff McKeleher failed his Radiation Oncology staff and chose to ignore and reprimand Dr. Khalsa for his inappropriate words and behavior toward the poor, female, and Hispanic patients (Bergen, 2002, pg. 244).
