This face to face interview with Jeff Tarver, was a privilege to do, it open my eyes up and encourage me to do more great things in this world. He encourage me to be a better person and never give up and the sky is the limit. Jeff Tarver remind me of this statement I read in my book Public Personnel Management , chapter five which it cover the diversity and cultural competency. The quote that , “ the demographics of the United State began to shift over the past few decades , leading to growth in the Asian, African American, and particularly , Latino populations”. By Jeff Tarver been a young African American he is leading to growth dealing with the workforce, because he was able to start his nonprofit organization which is call L.I.F.E. League. …show more content…
League started it was Jeff Tarver idea and he shared it with two of his friends which was Tyler Jenkins and Nevin Shennett and they had a common idea, so they work together to make this great non-profit organization L.I.F.E. League. L.I.F.E. League add more members to their team so as Derek Watford as the treasurer of the organization they believe this would be a great idea because he own the Embark Insurance Agency and American Built Cargo Trailers Inc. and he would be able to balance the financial of the organization and make smart business choice to build their organization. They also add Bobby Brown as the secretary to be able to take care of the business of the organization. I am proud to say they add board members, which I am one off the board member and over the fund raiser department and also over the education program and they also have dedicate volunteer that love this awesome non- profit organization. The strength of this non-profit is that everyone who participant have an understanding that we do what we do to better our youth because they are our future. Another strength as a non-profit we love what we do and it seem like one big family and we are truly dedicate to this organization. This organization does accept mediocre work we only take the best because we strive to be the best and organization that truly chance the youth mind and give them opportunity to have better choice and be able to be successful in life instead of being in the street, the grave or in jail or prison.
